Week 1, day 2

So I've decided to follow the novice schedule for the 5K. I started my program this week despite not having decided on a 5K to run in. The training program is for 8 weeks, which means I'll be ready to run in one by the end of March. I'm sure I'll find one to run in by then. I've seen so many advertised around town. Even if I don't find one, I'll just map out a course and challenge myself to run it. :>)

Yesterday I ran 1 mile outside in my neighborhood.

This morning I went to the indoor track at the gym. 1 mile is 8 laps around. I walked 2 laps, ran 14 laps, and walked 2 more laps. The training scheduled calls for a 1.5 mile run/walk . Afterwards I did lunges and an abdominal workout.
